In March 2022, a meeting of the delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the regulation of Kyrgyz-Tajik conflicts took place.

Border representatives of the two states assessed the current situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, noting the problems associated with uncoordinated sections of the border. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached: to take strict measures to implement intergovernmental agreements and protocols on interaction and coordination of efforts aimed at preventing incidents in the border territories of the two countries.
