Abstract

Today, public administration faces many challenges. In this article, the author tried to analyze the features of political reforms in states based on foreign literature. We concluded that the challenges facing modern governments are both new and old.

The traditional welfare state that emerged in response to industrialization is ill-equipped to meet the challenges of today's post-industrial knowledge economy. Therefore, experts and politicians are calling for a restructuring of the welfare state towards a “social investment” model (focusing on human skills and capabilities, primarily education, health care, social security). This article will analyze the effectiveness of political reforms based on the research of foreign scientists.

This article may be useful to the developers of government programs in the development of reforms.
