The article examines the political science issues of the Kingdom of Egypt as the initial stage of the formation of statehood, which have not yet been studied in socio-political science. The article examines in more detail, using specific materials, the political science issues of the Kingdom of Egypt as the initial stage of the formation of statehood: the concept and essence of the Kingdom of Egypt; the disclosure of the problems and contradictions of the process of forming the statehood of the Kingdom of Egypt and ways to assess and solve them; the study of issues of strengthening the statehood of the Kingdom of Egypt. The article notes that the format of the kingdom – the monarchy of Egypt – was closer to the British Empire. The formation of the statehood and political elite of the Kingdom of Egypt was greatly influenced by the religious factor. An important feature of Egypt's political life – the stage of the Kingdom's formation and its middle period of development - is the lack of real sovereignty.

Analyzing the stage of statehood formation in the Kingdom of Egypt, attention should be paid to a three-sided conflict with pronounced political rivalry: the monarchy, Britain and the nationalist faction. In general, the period of the kingdom in Egypt can be said to be a stage of the formation of statehood and as a stage of the emergence of new political elites in Egypt, oriented towards Republican political Islam with a strong central government and full sovereignty in solving internal and external issues of Egypt's development. The article also focuses on controversial issues.
