The article explores the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on shaping the values, behavior, and political consciousness of young people. As AI technologies increasingly integrate into daily life, they transform modes of communication and information perception. Youth, as the most receptive demographic to innovations, experience significant influence from these changes, affecting their personal development and social interactions.
Special attention is given to the negative consequences, such as the decline in interpersonal communication skills, social isolation, and dependency on digital technologies. While digital platforms and algorithms simplify interaction, they deprive youth of opportunities to develop empathy, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills. These aspects are crucial for political socialization, as AI shapes perceptions of political information, trust in institutions, and participation in civic processes.
Additionally, the article examines Kazakhstan's AI Development Concept for 2024–2029, aimed at fostering digital literacy, ethical approaches to technology use, and preparing youth for the challenges of the digital era. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of balancing technology integration with the cultivation of traditional social and critical thinking skills to ensure sustainable personal and societal growth.
