The article considers important aspects of changes in the value orientations of young people of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the example of project research within the framework of the scientific direction and developments of the author. Youth is considered to be the driving force and engine of the nation or society, if it moves in a positive direction. However, modern challenges and risks increase the level of subjectivity and reduce in many respects the sense of responsibility of youth to society. The sample of the research presented in the article reflects almost all social groups of young people in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The relevance of the study is determined by the importance of considering the adjustment of value orientations in different groups of young people, the emergence of new ones, and, in this regard, changing the focus of education, taking into account the changing trajectory of value orientations in the XXI century. The objectives of the research conducted in the framework of the scientific direction: 1) satisfaction with all main aspects of youth life; 2) rating of the main youth values; 4) rating of the main problems that need to be solved by youth in the first place; 5) assessment of youth perspectives for the future. As part of the comprehensive study, an expert survey was planned and implemented to form a professional opinion and to consolidate the results of the survey. The research methodology is based on a comprehensive analysis of the latest international and domestic content sources, as well as a combined method of youth research and expert survey in 10 major cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
