Abstract

The article discusses sociological approaches of foreign sociologists to the study of professional and labor identity. On their basis, a sociological interpretation of the concept of “professional-labor identity”, its structural components and mechanisms of formation is shown. The methodology of a sociological study of professional and labor identity of employees in the oil and gas industry is presented.
