The author in a scientific article considers the features of qualitative research in the planning and organization of research in the social sciences. In considering the importance a topic, it is said that quantitative and qualitative research is one of the methods that can be used in any form of observation. Among them, particular importance is attached to the main types of quantitative methods and the importance of their practical use. The author also emphasizes the complexity of using the results obtained on the basic of qualitative methods, and emphasizes the responsibility of the researcher when analyzing the results. Areas and mechanisms of application of sociological methods are carefully considered. Focusing on the inherent shortcomings of qualitative and quantitative methods, it is said that the conclusions obtained as a result of the analysis in each specific case may not be similar in the results of studying the same object by different researchers.
