The article examines the social aspects of life in South Korea under the influence of the Internet and the development of digital technologies, which are still insufficiently studied in the scientific literature. Specific examples are analyzed to address the sociological aspects of the issue: digital transformation in the social sphere of South Korea and the impact of social networks on the lifestyle of society; negative consequences of social networks, digitalization of life, and government policy in the field of cybersecurity.
A sociological study of South Korea's experience will identify the key factors contributing to its technological progress. Today, South Korea is considered one of the leading countries in the field of the Internet and digital technologies.
The influence of social networks and digitalization on South Korean society manifests itself in improved communication, economic growth, access to education and information, the spread of culture, and increased civic participation. The sociological study shows that with the increase in the number of Internet users, the number of fraudulent activities, phishing, and hacker attacks has also risen.
Considering the threats posed by criminals in the digital space, the South Korean government creates conditions for Internet security. Specialized centers have been established for monitoring and responding to cyberattacks and other threats. It should be noted that South Korea's experience in digitalization and cybersecurity represents a valuable example for Kazakhstan. The article also addresses discussion issues.
