The social phenomenon of ethnic and cultural minorities requires a comprehensive scientific analysis in various fields of humanitarian and social thought using various methodological systems. In the twentieth century, the concept of an "ethnocultural minority" was repeatedly in the focus of attention of scientists from various fields: lawyers, political scientists, historians, cultural scientists, ethnographers and sociologists. It is of great importance to study certain aspects of the life of ethnic and cultural minorities, to identify the most important characteristics that are a priority for their field of scientific knowledge. A more complete understanding of the essence of the phenomenon under study in this article is achieved by interpreting and comparing all existing approaches to the definition of an ethnocultural minority. This study examines the interrelation between traditional and innovative cultural practices within an interethnic context, emphasizing their role in the daily life of society. The analysis is conducted based on empirical research findings, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of cultural transformations. Furthermore, the study investigates the evolving nature of traditions under the influence of globalization, assessing their implications for national development and the socio-economic status of the population. In the context of contemporary societal progress, the interplay between traditional and innovative cultural paradigms holds particular significance. The balance between these cultural dimensions not only fosters societal advancement but also ensures the preservation of fundamental values that have been validated over time. This article explores these dynamics within a multinational framework, highlighting the importance of maintaining traditional foundations as a crucial factor in sustaining national identity.
