In this article, the author examines the development and types of modern diplomacy in world politics, including digital diplomacy. The author will also examine role of information and communication technologies in digital diplomacy. In particular, the author analyzes the degree to which digital diplomacy is used in China. The current potential of information and communication technologies has exceeded its original purpose. Their role as an important factor in world politics allows us to modernize and facilitate communication between states and other actors.
